Civic issues
Topics getting the most attention in Grove City public meetings, ranked by how frequently they come up.
Water reuse ('purple water') opportunity
Columbus is studying recycled-water systems near the Southerly treatment plant, and Grove City's south end sits close by — a potential way for future industrial users to get non-drinking water without straining the potable system. The catch: it needs enough customers to pay for the infrastructure.
Cell Tower Coverage Gaps
Two new towers are coming online — one behind Walmart since July, another on Grove City Road soon — but staff say coverage ultimately depends on which providers commit to the sites. A FirstNet meeting with AT&T was held to apply pressure.
Wet Basement Program goes citywide
The flood-relief program that helped fix Columbus Street's drainage is now open to residents across the whole city.
