Civic issues
Topics getting the most attention in Grove City public meetings, ranked by how frequently they come up.
Large accessory structure standards on large residential lots
The city caps attached garages at 900 square feet; the Glencross Court family needed more room for vehicles, a lift, and a bath, and the board agreed the hardship justified a variance.
Ballot Measure
Grove City voters will see Issue 28 on their November 2026 ballot, meaning it's time to brush up on local policy before hitting the polls. This upcoming measure could shift how things run in our backyard, so paying attention now saves you from surprises later.
Data center regulation task force
The committee is tasked with developing standards and a process for data centers. Staff explained that keeping data centers a non-permitted use preserves Council's full discretion to say no, while writing standards now would lock the city into approving compliant projects.
